Hey, got the game y'day I was wondering... are the people I play with on the option 'play with anyone' only people in my country? also how do I pick the pokemon trainer? I dont see him on the character selection screen

When playing online "with anyone", it can be anyone in the world. It's not just limited to your country. As far as selecting Pokémon Trainer, he should already be available from the beginning. He's somewhere in the middle.

Actually I wanted to know if people who have the japanese version can find ppl online who have the english version. But anyways, u can also pick a specific pokemon to start with if u click on it
