I have a question...

For some time now, I've been trying to purchase a brand new Gamecube controller. I want to get a controller to open brand new on the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Now, when I went and looked for a new controller, I noticed that all of them are colored platinum. I've actually been looking for one of the original black controllers. Then, when I tried looking on the internet, all I could find were knock-off controllers of the original (same model, but not made by Nintendo). I'm not sure if the knock-off controllers work any good, but from past experience, I've come to believe that knock-off controllers don't last as long. Now, with all that said and done, I ask a question; is there any possible way that I can get a brand new black Gamecube controller? Are there any stores or websites that still sell them?

Knock Off controllers are usually lighter, but the last less or so as a original.

As for the Stores that sell them, there are lots, But, why do you want a Black Controller for a White Wii ? (Black & White= :/)

going with one of the first-party ones is always a good idea, if you really want a black one then there is a ton of resources on how to paint gamecube controllers on this very site

Could you name some of these stores you're talking about? It would be very convenient if a game store happened to still sell one of the original Nintendo brand controllers in black.

Would you mind providing me with a direct link?

You might want to wait until Brawl is closer to coming out before buying the controller, in case they make some new ones as part of a promotion.

I tried to get a new controller at Gamestop last week, and the only ones they had were gamestop brand ones. And at my Kmart they didn't have any Gamecube controllers at all.
