is it possible to use the nintendo lan adapter, and connect it to your laptop to get Wi-Fi for the Wii?

like, you know how you use the lan adapter, you plug it in your Wii and make it connect to the router, and you get Wi-Fi

yea like that except the laptop acts like the router

its possible to do it but it'll require some reading and a bit of configuration though and some knowledge of networking. I'm going to assume you're using Windows XP hopefully atleast(shouldn't be a problem on Vista though). You might want to hit up the wikipedia to learn/refresh some basic networking and "bridging" connections and other stuff.

lastly, if your on windows open up a command prompt start>run>(type in) cmd and hit enter

Type in ipconfig /all into the prompt and hit enter. This will show you your current ip address / dns and other useful information you might need to configure your wii to use the laptop wireless.

But I have one question....why? The Wii has built-in wireless.

Edit: It also kinda defeats the purpose of physically connecting your Wii to an Ethernet NIC, because you have to go over wireless again.
