On for glory mode I average a 60% w/l rates. It occasionally drops down to 57% or goes up to 75%. I lose to lots of link and Samus' out there, due to projectile spam and their grabs when I shield the projectiles. Their are no platforms to jump on and punish these people. So I'm left to spot dodging and back throwing off the map which does not always work PLENTY Links jump above and dair I grab again and so on until they stop the dair spam to prevent me following up with aerials. I now main Mario only, because of his cape and good combo's. Does anybody have any tips against these players. I am very good at this game my current w/l is 57-60% could be better If I could actually beat these people and did not SD when I rush for activities or when the match lags., I know it sucks compared to some others, and I am really crazy about stats I hate projectiles if someone could please help me out that be great. If you could also leave your W/L ratio in the comments I would like to know how I fair against others.

Here's how I deal with projectiles:

I don't. I sit there and wait for them to get impatient.

81.5% W/L.

Getting past projectiles is literally as easy as pressing jump and holding shield.

I rarely lost to projectile spammers unless it's laggy.

80+% win rate.

All for 3DS (Wii U data is not accessible as of the making of this post):
FG FFA/Smash = 27.59% for 1st Place Finishes, 41.54% for Top Half Finishes (This is the go-to room for Conquest attempts, because of the sheer amount of KOs you can rack up in here in 2 minutes, so you can get a decent amount of points in here if you get 3rd or 2nd, and 9+ points for 1st Place Finishes)
Teams = 51% (This is my main room that I go to the most often, so this pleases me)
1-on-1 = 42.92% (I rep my 2 mains on the lefthand side and various other low & even bottom tiers like :4charizard: & :4zelda: & :4gaw:, so it's understandable, and thus, I am OK with that)

As for fighting projectile spam, you could try out my 2 mains that definitely have anti-camp capabilities, and of the 2, :4duckhunt: has the stronger direct anti-camping powers via sheer projectile output to clash with the camper's projectiles, while :4ludwig: has Side B Jump Cancels (for both approaching & scoring big damaging punishes when you DO get in) + Mechakoopas + Cannonballs, which while they aren't as solid at clashing with other projectiles as DH's due to their slow startup, at least they give him more of a response to them then oh say :4bowser:, especially with the Side B Jump Cancel essentially giving you a 3rd jump that can lead to an aerial or two for big damage (and at 75+%, it can even lead to Up B --> A (Hammer) for the KO!).

As someone who frequently goes to FG Teams, where camps can be even harder to penetrate with the proper character setups (ex. Double :4samus:, :4megaman: + :4tlink:, :4villagerf:+:4link:, etc.), these 2 have been among my go-to answers for confronting camps, with :4duckhunt:'s sheer projectile output breaking into even the most fortified of camps (i.e :4megaman:+ :4tlink:, :4samus:+ :4wiifit:), while :4iggy:has the offensive damage-building capacity to confront the aggressive guards of the camper (ex. :4littlemac:, :4marth:, :4shulk:), while also having Mechakoopas and Cannonballs to get at the camper being guarded (ex. :4duckhunt:, :4link:, :4robinm:).

Other non-traditional answers: :4wario2: (Bike! Chomp!), :4alph: (Pikmin Toss!), :4tlink:/:4link: (Hylian Shields can straight up block projectiles, and :4link: gets to walk toward the opponent while having his shield still work. Try it against :4megaman: or :4duckhunt:, and watch the bad ones go on tilt as their stuff fails to faze you as you close in on them. >X3), :4pacman: (Power Pellet! Fruits! Hydrant! Even Trampoline!), :4wiifit: (Crawling! Header! The Sun!), :rosalina:(Gravitational Pull! Luma!), :4lucario: (Side B can pierce! Neutral B can block off some projectiles)

If you're looking for more traditional reflection answers, perhaps these folks may interest you: :4darkpit:/:4pit:, :4falco:, :4fox:, :4drmario:, :4palutena:, :4mewtwo:, :4rob:, :4zelda:, :4miigun: (With Down 1)
Absorption answers: :4gaw:, :4ness:, :4lucas:(once he's out), :4miigun: (With Down 3)

Sheer Speed answers: :4falcon:, :4sheik: (comes with Needles and Burst Grenade!), :4sonic: (Try sic-cing him on :4duckhunt:), :4yoshi: (comes with Eggs! Try sic-cing him on :4bowserjr:), :4zss: (comes with Paralyzer!), :4pikachu: (comes with Thunder Jolt!), :4greninja: (comes with Water Shurikens!)

Thank you very much! I hope to increase my W/L ratio using these tips! I longer fear these projectile spammers. Sadly I SD out of some of those matches as they had lag and I couldn't perfect shield. Miss waves shing with fox tho. Thanks for the tips Its time to crush some campers,

If you want a character that can easily counter zoning, Palutena is your answer. Since her reflector isn't attached to her directly, she is able to move while it is still up, allowing you to either out camp your opponent or approach them safely. There are still certain projectiles that give her problems (most notably Duck Hunt's cans), but for the most part, she doesn't have much issue dealing with projectile users.
