Hi there! My name's Net (at least online, haha), and I've been playing Smash since I was a little kid. I started with Brawl, and with that you can now guess my age range. Great. Anyway, I've played every Smash game in some way except for Melee (sorry). I've always been a loyal Nintendo fan, though I'm also a Sonic fan, and while The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is my favorite game ever, the entire Super Smash Bros. series holds a special place in my heart.
Competitively, I've been playing for about year. I'm not exactly good and I lack knowledge of what a lot of Smash terms mean, but I'm planning to pick up on training often again now that I bought a notebook exclusively for Smash.
How did I find Smashboards? Well... I can't remember. I've known of Smashboards' existence for a few years, and decided to make an account just yesterday.
My mains? Well, in Brawl my main is Wolf. He's a really cool character and I think he's pretty good. In Smash 4 my mains are Dark Pit and Zelda. I've always had a blast playing those two characters, so I decided to ignore tier lists and main them - and honestly I'm pretty decent with them.
In Smash Ultimate, I'm planning to main Pichu no matter what. I already got a Pichu plush to show my pride once I play the little guy. c; . I'm hoping Bandana Wadde Dee makes it into Ultimate. He's the only character I WANT to join Smash (if you couldn't already tell by my profile picture), and if he does make it in I'm definitely maining him too regardless of the metagame.
I don't really have any hobbies other than being on Youtube all day. I'm one of those "Gaming is a lifestyle, not a hobby!" believers. So, basically, gaming is my life - and it's why my goal is to become a game developer.
Finally, to describe myself a bit... I don't think I'm a good person lol. But I will say, I am generally not bad to talk to, but I sometimes have a hard time being nice once I've been angered or annoyed (especially in debates). I'm kind of laid-back and would rather do things as comfortably as possible, and for the most part I don't want to be like this. I despise this about myself, but I don't have enough self-control to get myself to do things against my will. I try to be as logical as possible in debates and arguments, but sometimes my temper gets the best of me - as mentioned above. Though in general, I do genuinely try to be as nice to people as possible unless they're being an asshole. So, in a nutshell, as long as you're nice to people, we're gonna get along fine. Respect and kindness to all is something I deeply care about, but I will not reward those with it that are destructive to the people around them.
Anyway, sorry for this long post. I can't wait to see how it is to actually be a part of Smashboards. It feels like I'm officially a part of the Smash community, and that's pretty exciting. Can't wait to see everybody around! c:
