I don't know how to approach?

I've spent roughly 5 hours with her on training mode practicing combos and figuring out kill percents, but when time came to test my skills I realized I don't know how to approach at all. I know moves that get my opponent in the air for comboing but I cant do that if they space and shield.

So how does bayonetta approach?

Side B is good, as well as SH Bair. Bair when spaced properly is insanely good.

Also, you have to remember that Bayonetta isn't that good at approaching. Try to force others to come to you with BC. It is much easier to punish an approach then to get a combo off while approaching.
