He's not an idiot. He knows that everyone knows the roster, and that some people are disappointed.The marketing division is no doubt top-notch. Is it that unlikely that this is his way of saying that the roster isn't done?

Could it be that when the world map is full, something unlocks? Maybe Sakurai is hinting that?

Later in the page he mentions that there may be lots of patches and downloadable content, so either way I feel that it's very unlikely to be the complete roster. Having some DLC in the back pocket to be released a day after the game goes on sale could be a good way of preventing spoilers.

Or is this just wishful thinking?

Interesting theory, but I just took it to mean that the world map looks empty because there's not a whole lot of players right now. Presumably it'll have little spectacles for every player currently active, so we'll be expecting to see, like, Japan and the US lit up near-permanently when it's released.

That being said, the comments about the spoilers did raise my eyebrows. I'm keeping tabs on this one fo' sho', y'know?

But we've seen the roster complete message AND All-Star lock gone.

I mean if it sneakily re-appeared a few months after all countries got it, then sure I'd believe this.

All he is talking about is the fact that the map is empty because nobody was playing online since they couldn't yet.

The "WONDER WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE?" is just in reference to the fact it will show all the people playing SSB4 once it officially releases worldwide, so it will be this mess of red dots or something all over.

That's literally all he's talking about.

It's not just unlikely, it's ridiculous to think that that has ANYTHING to do with the roster. He's not even talking about it. He's talking about the map of the earth. How do you even kind of pull "MORE CHARACTERS" from that?

I don't want to sound like a jerk, shooting it down, but that is some mighty straw grasping.
