I cant figure out how to get my gc controller to work for dolphin

I could really use some help setting up my controller. It won't appear as an option to map, I've tried different drivers with no luck. Please help, I'm getting terribly frustrated.

What adapter do you have and what Dolphin version are you using (should be the most recent dev build).

If you're using any version before 4.0-4594, then you'll have a bit of unnecessary input lag and less accurate controls. However if you don't want to take advantage of direct connect, it's extremely simple to set up your controller, you just make sure it's switched to PC mode, open Dolphin, go to options -> controller settings -> configure, and click the buttons and then press the corresponding buttons on your controller.

Make sure your adapter is set to Wii U mode and you have Zadig to download the right drivers.

neither of those methods seem to work, i feel like im doing something wrong at this point

Forget that, I installed a different version of Dolphin and everything seems to be working now
