Since I learned about Bidou I've been experimenting with different control schemes and the advantages/disadvantages of one vs. another. In my tests I discovered a tech. If you input the opposite direction your facing as you hit the ground you will indeed pivot with your momentum carried through your landing. I call this the "Landing Pivot." I'm not sure if this has been discovered but I figured I'd post about it just in case. I'd make a video but I don't have the means to record my Wii U's output. You'll just have to test it out for yourself. Anyway, it seems like the one frame input that Bidou gives you access to allows for this tech be performed easily. However, nothing suggests that it isn't possible with precision inputs. I've only checked this tech on a few characters and discovered it with Mario in the custom controls menu. I believe the weight and falling speed of each character has an effect on how far you slide and if you slide at all. Anything that can be done from a standing neutral position may be done out of a landing pivot, including a perfect pivot, which is why I think there is potential in this tech for the characters that do get movement out of it. Fluid momentum anyone?

Let me know if you guys find any use out of this tech!

If it isn't too much trouble to ask, then I'd like to see a video showcasing it. I'm more of a visual learner to be honest.

Pivoting immediately upon landing to turn around while retaining some of the momentum gained in the air regardless of whether you were jumping forwards or backwards is known as 'Pivot Landing'. So yes it is already known.
