I believe an apology is in order (NyaseNya and Serebii)

So a lot of people were always bashing Serebii and NyaseNya around here when they were trying to give us some good information (Serebii was hinting around and debunking lists with Mewtwo and without Lucario). In light of recent events, I think most of us can agree that both of these individuals have inside information in regards to Brawl and deserve an apology. Nya has been right about everything and yet his/her topics were always getting locked and when she said Ness was back her post was edited to say "lol this is fake" >_> Of course it's hard to believe anyone who says they have inside information in regards to Brawl, but how could you doubt Serebii after all the D/P leaks and Nya after she was right about everything including the day Sonic would be revealed? I bet there are still some people who doubt both of them, and if the recent flood of info isn't enough, I can guarantee you will soon find out they were right about everything. (Sorry if this is in the wrong place, move it if it is, although I have a feeling it will get deleted)

NO apology is neccesary. Even if they were right, they proved nothing with just words. How were we supposed to believe them after anyone else on the internet? Serebii especially, he really didn't say anything concrete and kept coming here to in effect taunt us.

No need to apologize. Speculations are meant to be debated, so no one's right despite how serious their claims may be until an reliable source completely confirms or deconfirms the claim.

No offense, but I'm sure Nya wasn't the only one to predict Sonic would be announced that day. There was a press conference that day and he was the most requested 3rd party character, someone was sure to predict it.

Wasn't Nya one of the people who said there would be only 35 characters?

I'm sorry for offending you, your highness. I was simply pointing out that NyaseNya hasn't been proven wrong and that she(?) is becoming increasingly more credible as more news comes to light. I dunno how anyone could doubt her after the Sonic thing, but some people are stubborn. As for Serebii, today's events confirmed everything that he said, although some people are hesitant to believe today;s events confirmed anything. I'm used to it, though, almost everyone was denying the initial delay and the delay following and "almost everyone" was wrong about that. This whole deal is comparable to the time that guy leaked the Melee roster on the IGN forums and people were being jerks to him and doubting his credibility. Believe it or not, many people DO have inside information y'know. I'm not trying to start any fights or make anyone mad, I've always been a big lurker here and I just thought it would be nice if some of the people who were bashing on these individuals would apologize. Of course, it's normal to be skeptical about such things, but as the Japanese date nears people will realize that some of these people weren't so wrong after all and then it would only be fair if people apologized.

Neither of them DESERVE anything. They post their information at their own discretion, and they know full well that, as with all things that pertain to the internet, that nothing can be confirmed until there is concrete proof. A person's word means nothing here.

So, while it's great if they have insider information, and quite generous of them to share that information should they have it, I would hope they wouldn't expect an apology after being scrutinized...they knew what they were getting into.

And it's okay to be skeptical when one says they have inside information, but the way Nya was treated was a bit unfair in my opinion.

BTW, how is my post count count relevant to anything? Does it make my point any less valid? Has Nya been proven wrong? Was Sonic not revealed that Wednesday? Was Olimar not revealed on the DOJO? What about the most recent delay? As for Megaman, Infaune himself said he has not been contacted. As I said, I'm not trying to start fights, but people don't HAVE to share inside information and when they do, it's unfair to them when people treat them like dirt about it.

Obviously some people deny things because they're disappointed with the news that said individual brings. I've known Mewtwo was going to be cut from Brawl, and today's events further assures that he will not be playable, but I still accept this. It's okay if you don't believe someone, I just think people were a little unfair. That's all.

I'll only make an opinion on Nya once Brawl is released in Japan. Until then, I'm skeptical. I must disagree, though, in that the way s/he was treated was perfectly reasonable. For one thing, s/he was leaking confidential information; leaking stuff isn't cool. For another, who's to say s/he isn't still wrong? Besides, with all the "prophets", you may as well treat all of them the same and lock their threads.

Serebii, however, is different because the only thing he ever did was debunk roster predictions that included Mewtwo. Besides, he's an aight guy in my book; his site is pretty cool, even if the forums frighten me a bit.

But hell, I might just be in denial about Nya. 35 characters? No thanks.
