I bought SSB3D off the eshop immediately when it came out. However stupid me forgot to connect my eshop account to Club Nintendo. Is there a way to register it now that its downloaded? Can I erase it, redownload, then it'll register? Or is it basically something I can't do now? Or maybe someone has a CN code they haven't registered yet.

Unfortunately I've never been faced with this problem (though my brother did manage to lose our Club Nintendo PIN, so I guess we can face that problem together ). Definitely try linking it up, taking Sm4sh off your system, then re downloading it after you've connected your 3DS. I would assume it would notice that you bought the game one way or another...Sorry I couldn't be more of a help :/ Best of luck to ya!

There is no way to register. I bought a new 3DS back in August, bought a bunch of games, but forgot to link my Club Nintendo account until late October. I googled for solutions but unfortunately there are none. You can't register digital games you bought before linking the CN account.

I just linked my CN account to my eshop recently. If you ask them in the contact portion of nintendo's website to register your pre-CN eshop games, they would register it.

I actually wrote to them about this awhile back...still have not gotten a reply
