I am a rookie and I have a crew battle coming up soon. How should I prepare?

A few days ago I went to my second Smash 4 tournament and finished 25th out of 44, winning 2 sets and losing 2. Not too impressive. One of my friends has a Smash group he plays with regularly. I eliminated this group's best player in the loser's bracket and now this group wants me to join them in a crew battle between the players of our school and another school. Problem is this battle is in Melee, which I have even less experience with. Anybody have advice to get better in time for the battle? I main Marth and use Captain Falcon as a secondary.

During the crew battle, think only about the game. Don't think a thought about winning, losing, nor the crowd

Thanks for the videos. I've been practicing some of the advanced techniques but I can't do them very consistently. Especially the SHFFL.
