Apex was incredibly exciting but we missed hosting tournaments for you all! We know our usual brackets are too early for some, so instead of splitting folks up by coast we're going to try something new: a Night Owl Bracket! This bracket starts a little bit later for those who can't make it for our usual time. Hopefully this can help more people come and play!

If this bracket starts too late for you check out our regular bracket!

Quick note: Be extra sure to read the rules this week as the stagelist has changed. For those interested in the change we've left a brief description with our reasoning in the comments below.

So as for the new stagelist here is how this came to be. For a long time, Hypest has wanted to use Full List Stage Striking. This is a system in which all stages are starter stages and all are struck from for game one. There have been a lot of compelling arguments made for the system and it is something we use in our 3DS ruleset and people have enjoyed it. So we wanted to extend this to Wii U.

However, we know the players entering events have been complaining about Pokemon Stadium 2 and Wuhu Island being legal and that not all players are excited to try something new. So as a compromise we have made a larger starter list and taken the two stages we see many complaints about but do not feel reasonable to ban (Skyloft and Castle Siege) and made them the counterpicks. Hopefully people are willing to try something new and experiment to have some more stage variety and a more logical ruleset.
