Previously, one of our Hypest Tournament Organizers /u/SmashCapps hosted a special tournament for the 3DS to test out stages. Along with the tournament, the stages in question were put up to a debate to determine if they should be legal.
/u/SmashCapps recently ran a Wii U Stage Legality Poll. There were over 400 responses to the poll, and it showed some folks felt like a select number of stages could still use testing. So in the tradition of tournaments past we bring you our Wii U Stage Testing Tournament!

There will be a mandatory check-in time 1 hour before the events begin. If you do not appear for check-in or notify a TO ahead of time, you will be dropped.

Players will strike in a 1-2-2-1 order. There will be no stage bans. Players may not play on the same stage during a single match under any circumstances.
If any stage causes particular issues during the Swiss rounds, it may be removed before the top cut bracket.
We encourage players to outright pick any stages they think are broken and abuse them as much as possible. We want to know if these stages actually work, so by all means play as "cheap" as you can and try to win.

Prizes
As with previous tournaments, the winner of the tournament will receive a month of reddit gold!
However, you do not have to win the tournament to get a prize. We also will have this survey that all tournament goers can fill out. If you fill out the survey, you will be put into a random drawing to win a month of reddit gold. You can see the survey here.

We will also be hosting a Stage Debate Topic where we will discuss all of the stages used here as well as all other common counterpicks to get people's thoughts on them. The user who we deem provided the most to the discussion will also receive a month of reddit gold
