HP Problems

I've read that this is the section to post about computer problems but if it is not, please direct me to the right one.

My brother has a huge problem with his Computer. Everytime he tries to install updates he gets an error that says "Illegal Dilimiter".

It's been like this since he bought his brand new HP Pavillion a6803 w-b PC. Don't know if this is the correct Model (I'm a Dell user). Anyways, he got it in September with Vista and it started then. I personally upgraded it to Windows 7 Nov. 3rd with no problems and yet it still has the same problem. I should note that the Windows update is fine, the HP update is the one not functioning correctly.

Now, I've done everything I can try and read everything I could find but this is the last thing I can do: ask.

Please help.

HP is the worst. I'll never buy from them ever again. Their hardware is average, but their support is absolute ****.

Agreed. I tried to tell my bro that but....

Guess he should've listened since he hates how the HP update doesn't work. So any "answers" would be appreciated....

To be honest I just feel bad that I have to use an HP every day.
They are just such ****.
Recently I've been looking for netbooks as a christmas gift and every time I'd see an HP It'd look nice and all then I'd say oh it's an HP.... F that..
