How's short hopping with a shoulder button on the GCC?

Pretty much title.

Before I invest in the adapter, I was wondering what the title says. I tried googling it and found nothing relevant. Thanks in advance.

Can't say I've heard of anyone using that control setup. I imagine if regular jumping works, short-hopping would work fine, since it's a matter of timing.

It feels fine I guess.
The same as you trying to jump with them in Brawl.
One difference though: The adapter does not recognize digital input from the trigger buttons. That is, a press all the way down on the button. It only recognizes analog input (light press) so you'll need to get used to short hopping by pressing the trigger as lightly as possible.

This is one of the reasons why you are better off using the Hori Battle Pad. It has four digital shoulder buttons, compared to the Gamecube controller's one button.

I got this idea from a jab locking video, iirc.

Anyway, thanks for the replies. Decisions, decisions.
