- Who do you main in your Smash game(s) of choice? Why?
- My mains: I play Ness because I've stuck with him since 64 and he has always been my go to guy in every Smash iteration.
- For Smash 4 I decided to pick up Shulk due to his trailer music getting me pumped and I was thrilled by all the possiblilities Shulk could bring with his Arts. A stat changing character where you could change your playstyle on the fly (plus many more) felt like just the character I would enjoy. Eventually I even snagged a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii, lovin' every minute of it!
- I also play Megaman and Lucas. Loved the megaman series even though I still cannot beat megaman 1 but I managed the beat Megaman 10, thank you Easy Mode; those frame perfect jumps are ludicrous. For Lucas? Well I got attached to him since his had Pk freeze (love Ice super powers) and a purple pk thunder. Right after I played brawl I downloaded Mother 3 and I am a hardcore fan for the series and have completed Earthbound too.
- I also play Palutena and Robin on the side. Palutena because I love her moveset and played all 3 Kid Icarus games. Too bad customs limited her a lot. I started to dabble into Pit since I used to play him in brawl but I was kinda underwhelmed by his moveset, a reflector and a captain falcon upper. Knowing the variety and insane moves in Kid Icarus Uprising, my dream Pit moveset was kinda squandered.
- As for Robin, I love mages! As soon as I got Smash 3ds he was the first character I gravitated towards. I never played Fire Emblem well I just remembered that I played the awakening demo and was in shock and awe by the cutscene, the battle transitions and the music, too bad I forgot who Robin was) before Smash 4 so I borrowed Awakening from a friend and fell in love with the series. I tend to play games where smash characters that I don't recognize come from alot. It really pays off in the longrun; I guess I tend to come across hidden gems RPG wise and love them for the masterpiece that they are. It's kinda sad when you tell your friends the feats a specific character has done in their game and everyone else could care less or have no idea what you are talking about. Specifically speaking Lucas and Ness. Mother 3 was a tearjerker for me when I played it in middle school. Everyone just see's Ness and Lucas as two kids with psychic powers, but there's WAY more beyond that.
- Why have you joined Smashboards? How did you hear about the site?
- I knew of smashboards ever since I started to play Smash 4 but I always felt the site to be really congested and all the forums had so many LONG pages of people talking so I felt like it would be a hassle to join the community. I caved in because I made myself read the "Corrin Moveset Speculation Thread" last week and I really loved the conversation and felt like I could chime in and put in my own two cents and have some fun in the process.
- Do you attend tournaments? Do you want to?
- No, I have not attended tourneys but I would love to. I've been playing smash bros since I was a toddler and I always felt like I had a competitive vibe. If I can find a scene really close by to my region and hopefully a scene that runs weekly tournaments instead of big tournaments that take place in other cities that are like a 3-5 hour drive then I would consider.
- Talk about your interests outside of Smash Bros.! Anime, sports, other games, etc.
- I think of myself a hardcore fighting game fan. I play Street fighter 4, the Marvel vs Capcom series, Blazblu, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Naruto Storm/Clash of Ninja Skullgirls (only played with some friends but I wish it came to Wii U) among some others that I can't remember at the time. When it comes to fighting games I love games that have a good story and those that don't ex: Blazblue, Persona 4 Arena, and Street Fighter X Tekken just to name a few.
- Besides fighting games I love turn based RPG's, like Persona, Fire Emblem Awakening, Namco x Capcom, Project X Zone, Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Endless Frontier, Tales of Vesperia, the Mario and Luigi series, Glory of Heracles, Golden Sun, and the Paper Mario games.
- I also play League of Legends (tag: NINTENDO Galaxy) and a sucker for good VGM's they can really bring the feels. I'm not a big fan of shooting games but I will play them and go all Leeroy Jenkins just to have a blast. First shooting game I bought was Halo 4 Collector's edition to get the full experience, I enjoyed all the mayhem.
- Besides video games, I'm an avid reader of mystery novels, biographies, and fantasy fiction. I also watch some anime: K (really underrated and short anime, give it a go and you want regret it, the first episode sucks you in), Naruto, One Punch Man, Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, and Akame Ga Kill. I also read magna: Naruto, Shingeki No Kyojin, Blazblu, Beezlebub, Yu Yu Hakisho, and Death Note.
- What other communities are you a part of? Clubs at, school, other forums?
- I'm currently in a gaming club at my college that's training students to go out and compete and tourneys and with other colleges. We've been playing Smash bros along with a number of other fighters.
