How would one go about becoming the announcer?

Alright I'm a total n00b at all of this and only recently got into all of this Brawl hacking... in that I got Project M and put it on my Wii. It's a lot of fun showing it to people and all the changes but I got an amusing idea and I was wondering how difficult it would be to implement.

I would like to personally do my own announcer voice-over, with me saying all the character names and the GO and the TIME and the This game's winner is... only probably with a more silly voice? I don't know yet. Just for fun because I'm sure my friends would get a kick out of it...

So just wondering how hard would it be to make new replacement sound effects for each announcer soundbyte and then put them on my hack?

I appologise that I'm the biggest n00b ever I am just curious.

Nobody responded to you yet, I guess they were all caught up with that AMAZING NEW VIDEO hype

I don't know anything either, but I was wondering if I could ever fulfill my dream of having every character's name said really sarcastically. Like every time you pick Fox I could hack in "wellweknowwhoswinningtonighthuhFOX!" Hope somebody responds to you cuz I wanna know too

Well if I could figure out how to do it and it was easy enough I could potentially do something like that... like a muttering under breath about your choices kind of thing. "FOX oh typical" "LINK good luck with that"

Project M 3.0 will include the RSBE (Replacement Soundbank Engine) which allows you to create new SFX. However, the code is severely limited by filesize and soundclips cannot be longer than the ones in game, so your sarcastic announcements are probably not possible, for now anyway.

Nice! I will wait then.
My initial idea was me just saying the names in a funny voice so that should be fine.

But if it's easy enough I could do impressions of all the characters and do all their sound effects. :D

YES! I can now fulfill my new dream of saying everyone's name in a New Jersey accent. Meaning the return of Mario pronounced "Merio". Plus I can still say "Fox" in a low voiced "...ugh" sort of way.

is it possible to edit the sound effects that come out of the wiimote during character select? that'd be amusing to change them to jabs at the player for using a wiimote. lol

I'd like to say no since I use a classic controller pro so it's directed at me, but it should be possible.

Before demo 2.5 they had the Wiimote say "Failure". Then PMBR realized how awesome they became and took it out to be more professional, so the data to do it should be there.
