how to unlock characters.

ahem. how do you think characters will be unlocked? so far all sakurai has told us is that they'll be unlocked by going through the story mode! does that mean no more challengers? does that mean no more secret things we have to do to unlock a certain character? i hope not because that was the best part of smash. discuss.

AHEM I believe it was said by sakurai in the co-op update about this. he said it determines which character the second player will play as by the way the story goes. as the story goes you meet new people. even some that are newcomers.
