How to teach an amiibo to use crashrun effectively

I have a level 50 sonic amiibo with crashrun. He never utilizes the crashrun. How do I teach him to utilize crashrun effectively and consistently.

That's amiibo for ya. I've leveled up my mario amiibo 50 times, trying to get him to utilize his cape, air attacks, and hell, I even taught him how to taunt. He did all of that until about level 30 or so, but then just completely derped. Same went for my kirby and link amiibos.

Yea level 50 amiibo are just level 9 cpu opponents with stat boosts....

Lol this honestly makes me hope if in the future they come out with another smash game with amiibos that they will actually have better AI for them.
