How to short hop easier?

Okay i play with a keyboard and no matter how quick or soft i hit the jump button i end up doing a full jump, is there a setting that you have to change in controllers maybe? The range in the controller plugin is set at 100% and Game zone device is 100% ( On the screen where you edit your keys) So yeah can anyone help??

Eh whatever, make sure you've mapped your jump button to one of the C buttons, it won't let you short hop if you mapped it to up on the stick.

I think that was the part that made me shake my head in disappointment

But yea, map the c-buttons as a your short hop key

or just get a controller adapter kuz it's better anyway LOL

yup. short hop can only be done with cbuttons.

dont shorthop with the spacebar. too difficult to press swiftly..

I feel like there's some hidden pun here with the word legal...hmm.
I'd like to point out that laptops probably have a better time shorthopping because of the much shallower buttons. I'm not entirely sure how relevant that is, but my normal keyboard has keys like, a centimeter high. ...The spacebar also squeaks.
