Short hop double laser is one of the harder things you have to slide off Y and as you do double tap B. Has to be fast or you won't short hop and the double B tap is just as quick

An easy way to do this is by sliding your left thumb over to B. (Unfortunately you won't be able to move the control stick during this.)

Then use your right thumb for X/Y and then immediately double-tap B with your left thumb.
