I've been having a very rough week playing Smash and I'm missing a lot of my strong tech skill and combos. I couldn't beat anyone I played against yesterday. Even so bad to getting 4 stocked in a Mario ditto. Nobody at my school has ever come close to beating me in one. My friend suggested to me that I should sandbag or take a break for a week or so to rebuild my confidence. Should I just not play aggressive (I'm usually play aggressive) and wait them out. Or just go half hearted until I feel like I'm ready to push myself again.

Just switch up characters to one you're not as good at (maybe a for-fun character?).

The pressure to perform will be less, since it isn't your main, and you'll have a mental excuse if you lose.

I would do it with Falcon for the lulz, but he's my other main. I'll just use Young Link. I used to play him before I went competitive.
