How To Replace Character Picture?

So you know how every time you click on a character in the menu they have a picture pop up and stuff. Just wondering how to replace that (want to replace green marth btw) I also would like to know if there is a way to replace the picture of your character that is at the bottom of the screen during the match. Thanks!!!

I just encountered an issue. So I changed the pictures through the manager and now when I go to the select character screen the game freezes. I know it isn't an issue with the character model or anything as I tested it out beforehand, so I don't know why it is freezing.

Then it either has to be a problem with the csps. Are they 128x160?

So all of my pictures need to be 128X160? Or just for a specific one? I thought that the size of the pictured didn't matters since it would resize it to fit.

Since your using costume manager does it resize it?

Your Common5 file might have gotten corrupted or gotten too big. Go to (SDCARD)\projectm\pf\system and see how large it is and post here.

What I do when replacing pictures is
1) Make sure the images are the correct sizes
2) Go to tinypng.com and make the image a smaller file size
3) Test in game

What are the precise sizes for the images then, I'll be sure to try this and see if it works.

128x160 for CSP and I think BP is 64x56.

IT WORKED Only one more thing now. The in game portait thing, it wont let me change it, the original picture isnt even there, it just says infface163.brres : not found. Thanks for the previous thing though YL :D this is the last issue

That's because pm is using the default brawl portraits. Download the original from brawl vaults resource section : data partition then add them in pm files and replace

Where in brawl vault do I download them and in which files do I place them , sorry for being such a noob XD.
