How to play Project M when wii won't read discs?

Basically my wii has reached a point where it can't read discs and would require repairs, so I want to know what type of methods there are to play without the disc.

My wii is not modded right now, but I'd be willing to mod it at this point. Any method would help, thanks again.

Mod it and load your games from a USB drive. Can't really link the required stuff here but it's not too hard to find what you need out there.
