I have homebrew on my wii because it's laser broke, so i was wondering if i could play project m off of a brawl emulator? or is there something like that that will run off of homebrew, project m thinks it is brawl, and project m starts?

lol old post. well, i figured out a way with a usb. i actually used a program to make a project m iso, but as it was made with a brawl iso, which are always a little sketchy, it feels a little wierd. the c-stick fails if i try to use it too fast, sometimes i pull off moves that are genuinely just glitches. one time i was using falco, and somehow i managed to slide over while doing a u-smash. (i know what wavedashing is, i do it. i did not wavedash.) sometimes just buttons in general feel eh

im going to have to buy a new wii to play project m on, but i wont need to yet as i am having a party and my friend is (hopefully) bringing his wii.

I wouldn't be so quick to say it's sketchy. C stick can fail if you input it too fast because PM doesn't have a buffer like brawl does. What this means is that if you try to input a command while you're doing another action it wont happen, whereas in Brawl if you input the command as you're doing an action if it's within 10 frames of the end of the action you will do it anyways.

Sliding while doing usmash could have been a DACUS, I know Falco has one.

so, i should turn input assist on for c-stick to fail less (or not at all)?

forgot about the old DACUS. i never learned how to do it consistently. happy accident i guess, as it won me the battle.

I would not turn on input assist, rather get used to not having the buffer to help you. Most people play with it off.

it's weird, though. when i played project m from an sd card through the hack (stage builder) i never noticed these problems. i never used the gamecube controller on that version, but i think it would be different from this..
