how to maximize lab time?

Ok so I am not the best but not the worst player. Usually I will go into the lab for maybe a hour or so on my 3ds and play in slow more which helps me play better in fast time. But I do this alot and I'm still so so when playing people on FG. Ya all know the rollie pollies where I find it hard to punish when they be rolling all over the stage. I find most lv 9 cpus to be garbage like caption falcon that spams falcon kick. Lucina is the only could scary but does this mean to get better I have to basically body more than 1 cpu in the lab?

Any advice on how the lab can up my game?

Labbing isn't for building player vs. player skill, it's for grinding out inputs, hitboxes, and the like.

So the idea is to focus on one thing and figure out how it works.
