Ok, this is a pretty simple guide and I've got a few examples that you can buy if you want to. A lot of you are probably familiar with this method, it's just using cafepress basically. Also I am not doing this to try to compete with Smash Shop or something, seriously they make much more high quality T-Shirts than Cafepress would.
WARNING THIS GUIDE WAS MADE FOR THE COMPLETE AND UTTER NOOB AND GOES THROUGH EVERYTHING IN COMPLETE STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS EVEN WHEN WHAT TO DO IS OBVIOUS, I'M SORRY IF YOU'RE SMART ENOUGH TO FIGURE IT OUT ON YOUR OWN BUT YOU STILL HAVE YOU READ PARTS OF IT.
1. Make your picture
Pictures can be and size but you generally want it to be square so that it fits around more of the T-Shirt and also cafepress will only resize it by about an inch so if you are creating your own graphic you'll want to make it be about the size of a T-Shirt (in pixels this is about 1500x1500 yes, very big).
I will use this as my example:
The Dimensions on this image was 150x139 for this example but for the actually T-Shirt I resized it up to 1500x1390 Cafepress says that the reccomended size in inches is 10x10.
2. Create the T-Shirt
Just go to http://www.cafepress.com and click the "Make your own stuff" button near the top. Then choose whatever option you want, for this I am choosing "Apparel" then "Custom White T-Shirt" then click "Create it!"
If you are logged in click the "Upload a New Image" link. If you are not logged in it will take you immediately to image upload.
Click the "Choose" button and search for your image, most standard image types work (Gif,Jpeg,Png etc...) once you select your image click "Next: Add & Preview".
You should see your T-Shirt just the way it would look if you were to buy it and wear it. Fiddle with all the options until you get what you want.
Side Note:
If you want a design on the back click back design and do the same things.
Then click "Save to Finish Later" this will save it to your profile so you can buy it later.
3. Buy it!
Just go to "Make your own Stuff" again and then Go to "Saved Products" which will have everything you saved to finish later, all these will have a "Buy This Product" Button under them. Just add it to your cart then click "Proceed to Check Out" and then you fill out the form and it will be shipped to your house, no problem!
4. Sell it!
Ok back to the homepage Cafepress.com Click "Start Selling Now" then "Open a Shop" click the free option(Basic Shop). Fill out your Shop information. Click Submit then click "Add a Product" at the bottom is "Shirts(Short)" click "Make Selections" choose whatever you want to add to your shop. I'm just doing White T-Shirt but click on any of the things that you want then to the bottom and click "Add Selections". This will not add it to your shop yet, you have to click "Add these Products" on the right. Click "Select Image" then choose your image and then click next then you can pick and image for the back if you want, I don't want so I'm just clicking next. Enter a name and Description and if you want put in a mark-up, this will make it so you make a profit off of your T-Shirts which I am not doing but if you do so I assume that you need to put in billing information. Then Save & Finish. It's now in you shop and you can give you the link to your shop to your friends so they can buy your T-Shirts.
Side Note:
You can only have one of one type of product in your shop, so I can only have the Whtie T-Shirt be I
DI now, so for the I FD shirt I had to make it the Value T-Shirt.
