How to make CSS names transparent

I apologize if this has been answered somewhere, but I have been spending the past 2 days on this alone.

As yo can imagine, im at my wits end. This is for the character selection screen before a character has been picked, the little name tag above or below the icon. Im trying to remove the names to see the whole picture. No matter what I do I always get a black or white box.

What should the format be? Ive tried making transparent images in photoshop with CMPR format, I4 format, with 4v4 dimensions as well as 48x14.

Can anybody help me out?

instead of making the image transparent, i just deleted the image file and it worked fine

hmm, i deleted the file in brawlbox and now the box is gray

oh, wait. are you trying to get rid of the names in the little boxes at the top or the names over the portraits at the bottom? i've not tried messing with the names in the boxes before

i checked this setup http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=203299 and honestly can't find what they changed, but i bet you can just use this miscdata and replace the portraits with the portraits from your build

i did -100 and it worked, idk but negative numbers seem safer lol
