How to make a .brres file?

Hi I'm rather new to modding, but I have dug around and messed around on BrawlBox v0.70 and Brawl Costume Manager v3.4.90. I know how to replace image files in the texture folders, and I've been messing around with making CSPs and stock head icons, too.

However, I can only install mods that contain .pac, .pcs, and .brres files. I've found some alternate costumes that only contain .pac and .pcs files, but no .brres, and I'm not sure if that's okay.

From what I have found from BrawlBox, the .pac and .pcs files contain the same things, but the .pac file takes up more memory. The .brres file seems to only hold the character select image.

The .brres file seems important if I want to make my costume installs look authentic, but I don't know how to make one. Can someone help me out? Thanks in advance!

not entirely sure what you are trying to do, but take an existing one, copy/rename it to the appropriate character slot and replace the texture?

I'm trying to install a Batman skin over a snake skin, but the batman zip file only contained a pac file and pcs file. I didn't know you could do that, so I'll try that. Thanks!
