How to Find Local Tournaments?

Iv been looking for local Smash 4 tourneys and events for a long time and I finally found a weekly in the events section of smashboards. I went to one and it was great and it only made me wanna go to more. But it got cancelled for the future BC of venue difficulties. I can barely find any locals in my area on smashboards. Does anyone know other good ways and resources to finding local tourneys and events besides the events section on Smashboards? I'd really appreciate it! I live in Michigan by the way.
