If anyone can help me in this area id appreciate it!

Im looking to buy an n64 usb adaptor online and I dont know where to order it, my best guess is ebay, but maybe there's a website someone might know about???

''Boom PSX/N64 USB Adapter (also known as Boom PSX/N64 USB Converter) is an adapter used by many emulators. It allows the connection of both a Nintendo 64 controller and a Playstation controller to the computer through a USB port. This controller is not limited to only N64 and Playstation emulators. Players who wish to play MAME arcade emulator, SNES, NES, and others can also use this adapter.''

http://wikibin.org/articles/boom-psx-n64-usb-adapter.html

Thats what Im looking for, or anything that has the same function, I heard Boom adaptors were pretty good though.

This looks good too : http://www.goldenshop.com.hk/AI-trad/pc/pc_psxn64usb.htm

(is that a pic of the adaptor I didnt see a picture of the boom one)

Anyhow, im looking to at least order it before september. Thanks in advance for any help!

this is rlly the only good n64 adaptor out (since adaptoids are gone ;_; ) so u might as well buy it. be warned tho these adaptors are notorious for having problems w/ the n64 side (i had to buy a 2nd 1 since the 1st one didnt work). ebays the only site still rlly sellin them, so GO FOR IT MANG! well if u want that is..

Ebay seems the best place, but I don't really know.

Since I don't feel like making a new thread, info on a Gamecube adaptor would be nice. My N64 controllers are all pretty busted anyways [loose section on the grey, busted Z button on the red], and I have 4 GCN controllers anyways so there'd be less problems. And since I no longer have my N64, the next time I'd be able to play SSB is on the Wii's VC anyways [whenver Brawl sales die down].

I got mine on Amazon.

Vista gaming products/Four Triangles. PS2/N64 2-in-1 USB adapter.
Adapter works great, couldn't even install the drivers on the disc that came with it, but it works anyway without them. Or, well enough with the joystick.

Apart from the not-perfect function of the joystick, it works perfectly (I've played other games, PC and Emu, with my N64 controller now). Unfortunately no computer will ever treat that joystick like a real N64... or, does someone here have an adapter that does it pretty well?!? LET ME KNOW!!

They had 2, I ordered both. Unfortunately, they actually only had one and refunded me. So I got the last one. Check Amazon to see if they have it in stock again. Might take a while.

@Superstar:

The only two Gamecube adapters I know of are this and this.

I got the super joy box 13 around a year ago and I use it for Smash, it works great and I've never had any problems with it. Unfortunately, it's sold out pretty much everywhere now (playasia and amazon used to carry them) and I have no idea if they're even being produced anymore. If you're lucky you might be able to find one on ebay or something but your chances are slim. Still, if you manage to find one definitely give it a try.

I can't really say much about the 3 in 1 since I don't own it. From what I've heard though, it works fine with Xbox/PS2 controllers but with Gamecube controllers there's problems with the analog sticks and it has to be calibrated somehow. If you don't mind spending the money though you might as well give it a try since it's the only other option. And even if Gamecube support ends up being unusable you still have a working PS2/Xbox adapter. :lick: Also they shouldn't be too hard to get, I've seen them floating around in some random online stores (I think amazon has them too)

As for N64 adapters... definitely ebay. :)

Edit: I just checked and Amazon is indeed sold out of N64 adapters :(

Than you NF. Good info. I hope I can try getting the first one but I doubt it. About calibrate on the second, I'm unaware on how it's done. You just change the settings in the plugins?

You can calibrate it through Windows' game controllers calibration in control panel.

If the joystick appears to be flailing around wildly on its own, don't bother calibrating (yet), instead unplug it from USB, set the controller down, re-plug. Should fix

Thank you. The only thing I have left to say is that Super Joy Box and Magic Joy Box are really crappy names that only a little kid on a major drug high could come up with.

Well, I also need a controller for Guilty Gear #R PC version [patched], and since I have AC on the Wii and am already accustomed to a GCN controller, getting a GCN adaptor is two in one.

And mah 64 controllers are busted anyways. D:

Yeah initially the N64 controllers will bug out, but after you do something in the controller section under the Control Panel it gets fixed (I forget what exactly you have to do).

Maybe what he said?

I'd use the N64 controller if someone shipped me the adaptor and a brand new N64 controller to me free of charge. Otherwise, it's GCN for multiple games.

Well, unless you have some practice time with console to get used to it or if by some magic VC becomes the console standard [which I assume will not happen until at least a few years after it releases].

Dunno if I should get an N64 adaptoid/adapter because it's cheaper [I think it is], despite lacking a good controller. But it wouldn't suit GG at all, although a Logitech Dualshock will. I'll compare prices.

EDIT: http://cgi.ebay.com/3-in-1-Magic-Jo...VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247

Hmm. Description seems wrong, makes me think twice. Dunno if I can trust a product that says "Magic Joy Box".

That is pretty much a given.

Yeah, I'll probably get an N64 adaptor even though the next time I'll have an SSB is on the virtual console. I don't trust a product that says "Magic Joy Box" on it. I'd rather just open up an old controller and modify it myself.

lol then you will most likely suck on console
I dont suck on console, but i do better on emulator (probably everybody does). Almost nobody in my town and near it has a N64 that works properly or they stopped using it... what can I do? :ohwell:

Sure its fake but if you get used to it and you play people via p2p with no lag, is good too... Well dunno about yours but in my case that has became the best way to play other good people cuz of sadly the lack of people playing on console.
