I want to shine off stage as Captain Falcon Fox, how do
Ok, this requires no trivial amount of techskill, so bear with me here. I'll try and break it down as simply as possible in a few easy steps. If Melee is already in your Gamecube/Wii, skip steps 1 - 5.

Step 1) Open your Melee game case. You will notice a round, red disc roughly the size of a large orange on the right hand side, and possibly a player's manual located on the left.

Step 2) Carefully remove the red disc from the game case by pressing down on the black circle in the middle of the disc.

Step 3) If you are using a Gamecube, open your console's disk tray by pressing the dimpled button found on the top of the console. Gently place the game disk around the small black circle in the middle, not unlike the one found inside your game's case. Checking to make sure that the red side of the disc is facing towards you, press down on it's edges until you are rewarded with a soft "click". This signals that your game is in place.

If you are using a Wii, you will need to slide the disk in the rectangular disk reading slot located on the front of the system. Insert the disk such that the shiny part of it is facing down towards the part of the Wii that has the most space below the disk slot.

Step 4) Close the disk tray lid and press the power button on the Gamecube/ Wii. Your power button on the Gamecube will be the one labeled "POWER", and likewise on the Wii. If nothing happens, you probably need to check to make sure your system is plugged into a power outlet.

Step 5) If on Gamecube, the game will load automatically, but if on Wii, you will need to select the game panel located in the upper left hand corner of the home screen. Select it with your Wii remote, and chose the "Play" option. Now is when it starts to get more complicated, so pay attention.

Step 6) After skipping one of the coolest intros of gaming ever and instantly feeling guilty but not guilty enough to wait the several hours needed to watch it again whilst staring at the "press start screen", you can press any button and access the game mode selection screen. Chose "Melee" and you will be rewarded with the character select screen.

Step 7) Move your controller's analog stick up and you should see a hand holding a small token corresponding to which port your controller is in. Move the hand to Fox's icon, located on the left side of the middle row of characters. Press A to select him. If playing alone, choose a CPU opponent and set the difficulty level to 1. If playing with a friend, wait for him or her to choose their character.

Step 8) When you have an opponent to play against, press "start" to access the stage selection screen. You can choose any stage that has blastzones on all four sides of the screen, such as Yoshi's Story or Fountain of Dreams. Move the cursor over the desired stage in the same manner as you selected Fox, and press A.

Step 9) This is when it gets tricky and may be a little technically demanding. When you spawn onto the stage, walk your character to a side of your choice using the analog stick.

Step 10) To perform the desired "shine off stage as Captain Falcon Fox" technique, you must run towards the edge, falling off in the process. Quickly press Down and B at the same time, then Y, then Up and B, angling yourself towards the stage so that you either grab ledge or land back on it.

Keep in mind that Fox has a high falling speed, so this might be hard to do at first. With dedicated practice, however, you can master this advanced tech in no time. Good luck, and shine on!

Tl;dr, Dude are you ****ing kidding me right now?

You messed up step 7. Or you hit up instead of down in step 10.

What prompted you to troll the Fox boards with this batcrap anyway? If anyone read your signature in the OP they'd see you can't possibly be serious... I'd tag a Fox board mod to close this but I don't know who those are so I'll just hope someone else does it.

I messed up step 3, Melee has been inserted into my PS3. Will it still work, or is Captain Falcon Fox a Gamecube exclusive DLC?
