B-reverse the first laser then press b again quickly. It can be tough at first because it involves precision on both hands. Make SHDL muscle memory first, then add turnarounds (and shines so you can swag out).

Aight so I do have to dash and b reverse?
I saw some kid in one of my pools doing consistent like straight up fading back double lasers, like fading back the same Marth does for a retreating fair, and that's what I was confused about, is that possible or am I just not remembering this correctly?
And if it is what are the inputs for that?

Oh aight well for that you just gotta be mad subtle. Give the stick a little tilt after you jump, but before you press b. Otherwise you'll side-b or turnaround your laser

Those are called drifting lasers and are extremely good but pretty hard to do. What soup said is actually incorrect, you need to press back(or forwards) on the control stick AFTER pressing the 1st laser, and you need to be frame perfect with it to go anywhere really.

Watch this for all your laser needs:

What @ Soupeschleg Soupeschleg probably ment was how you do dash back turnaround lasers, which are also retreating.

Besides which real foxes do full backflip double laser drift away
:troll:

Given the context of the posts..no he didn't. Also I don't understand what you mean by full backflip turn double laser. Full hop turn around drifting laser? Much easier than drifting SHDL.

@ Hylian Hylian Sorry, a bit confusing wording, I kinda didn't realize full backflip sounds more like full hop lol.
What I meant was short backflip so that you hold full side on the last frame of jumpsquat. That way you get much more backward movement, but it's ridiculously hard to doublelaser after.

Also you don't have to be anywhere near fp to get backward drift. Obviously you move the further the faster you input back though.

I already do that lol, that is how you do weaving lasers. You need to be frame perfect with the drift to actually make it useful, there is very little room for variance.

Hmm, the "weaving lasers" in the vid you posted had stationary jumps with no added vector from jump.

Also I accidentally added the turn, it kinda feels like turning because your control stick is backward when you jump, but I meant canceling the turn and firing the way you are already facing after you backflip. I tried sh backflip with full momentum into double laser with drift back, it felt impossible to do, I tip my hat to you if you really do that.

Edit: I guess you are a wizard :b: Can you also nair shine sh full backflip early nair for safe shield pressure?

I've been doing it for years, I haven't really met others who can do it. I hold the controller weirdly though(left hand claw right hand transitional claw). I had M2k/DSW/SW all try it at MELEE: FC:D and none of them could lol. In tournament matches I normally just do normal drifting lasers though for consistency.
