So I'm thinking about making a list of posts for each character about how to DI specific attacks. With any luck, we'll have a good list of how to DI each character's attacks :)
The next 4 posts are going to be reserved by me, so please don't post until I've listed all the characters...I think it'll be more organized this way if people can link to separate posts instead of just one topic.

Captain Falcon
Just to be clear, most of the Falcon ones are for fast fallers like Fox and himself, or heavies like Link and DK. If you're a floaty you need really bad DI to stay in a really extended combo.

Let's start with...aerial moves?
Fair - During the first hit, DI far enough away so as not to get hit by the second in the air. If at low percents and first hit is going to be ended by the ground --> grab...what happens?
Nair - If low level Nair --> grab, which way do you DI?
Uair - Situational. At low percents, you might try to DI downwards to be too low to hit with the next Uair. At high percents...I think diagonal and down is the best way to go, but you really have to have some extremely good DI if the Falcon doesn't mess up.
Bair - Same as Nair...I'm not sure
Anecdotal thing - One time I was getting edgeguarded by my friend's Falcon and I wound up going the way my friend was facing...which was towards the stage. Weird?

Ground - Important ones
Rapid A against a wall - Is this even possible to do on actual people with Falcon? Shame on you if you get caught :lick: I think DI up and towards Falcon gets you out...
FTilt - At low percents it might combo into a grab...DI...away? Towards?
USmash - Up at low percents if you have a platform above you. I think diagonals are better at higher percents.

Reserved for Mario

Aerials
DAir - It's a drill...DI to the side. I usually try towards Mario's backside.
Uair - If you're in a Uair combo, I think you DI down...verify?
Aerial --> grab - If it's not a drill, then either towards or away...?
Mario Tornado - If they're trying to the last hit spike, just DI to the side.

Ground
USmash - If you're a fastfaller at low percent...don't DI up.
Utilt - If it's knocking you up just far enough to combo, DI down. Otherwise...I'm not too sure. Up and away?
Mario Tornado - It's difficult, but with good enough DI to the side I think you can get thrown out.

Oh Wen...Ledge DI is pretty cool. To do the perfect ledge DI which is the one u did....which is going back on to the stage....You have to DI up right/left on the hyrule stage or any stage with a flat wall at the sides. And at dreamland...I think u have to DI down right so u can hit that curve part of the stage to go back on. I don't know if this is right but I did this and works for me. But it's hard to do it since u need good timing...it's not only just mashing XD. But I use keys. A good way to test this is to roll at the edge of the stage since rolling onto the edge of the stage allows u to only do one frame of DI to ledge DI.
