How to deal with Sheik better?

Usually on FG I will come across that one Sheik player who gives me nothing but trouble. I mainly use Bowser,Meta Knight, Ness (ocassionally) and Charizard. I did okay with Bowser took a stock and 56% but got combo'd into oblivion.

Second match, I switch to Meta Knight and I actually had a lead until I SD'd trying to edgeguard then everything went down the drain.

I do well against lower end characters but I always fail to the "Top Tiers"

This should probably be in the Sheik thread (if they allow these topics anyways)

But there's your problem. Most of your mains get obliterated by Sheik. The thing about Sheik is that she really has no bad matchups, so you kinda have to just find a way to win. You said you did pretty well with Meta Knight. I'm not savvy on that character's matchups, but perhaps he could be your best bet.

Like @ AreJay25 AreJay25 said, Bowser, Ness, and Charizard all suffer greatly against Sheik and have a bad matchup against her. Meta Knight on the other hand I theorize to have an even matchup or quite possibly an advantageous one against Sheik, because he has all the right tools to be able to overcome her, the only issue here is that there aren't really any Meta Knights that I can test this theory on or that I see play against Sheik in tournaments, this will probably not be a problem in the future as the metagame develops however.

Meta Knight has multiple jumps, this means its really hard for Sheik to punish landings with needles (as opposed to say Bowser, who Sheik can needle to oblivion every time he tries to land) as well as to gimp in general because MK has good recovery moves in addition to his multiple jumps. He also has early kill options with uair strings and up B, and an Fsmash that is really hard to punish.

Finally, MK is also short and has good frame data on his aerials as far as I know, which in addition to what I mentioned earlier means that all in all MK should fare well against Sheik. I'd say he's your best bet, and I'd advise you to find someone to practice against and maybe learn more about the MK vs. Sheik matchup.
