how many different ways are there to throw the boomerang and how do you do all of them? for example I am inconsistent with throwing the boomerang far, because sometimes when I throw it, it does a short throw. Can anyone explain?

For Smash B:

To do a smash boomerang throw you have to move the control stick in the direction you want to throw the boomerang while hitting B at the same time (Like Smash Attacks).

Strong angle up = Sends it at about a 45 degree angle upward.
Sharp angle Up = Sends it at the same angle that Link would throw his upward.
Forward.
Sharp angle down = Sends it at the same angle that Link would throw his downward. It will hit the ground and bounce upward off the ground still going forward.
Strong angle down = Sends it at about a 45 degree angle downward. It will hit the ground and start to fly behind you.

To do the sharp throws you have to first start the rang throw in a forward motion. Once the animation starts, you would angle the control stick in between the grooves (kinda like how you can angle Fox/Falco's up B's).

Non-Smash B:

The other 5 boomerang throws are the same but cuts the distance on how far it actually goes. Instead of doing smash specials it's just holding a direction and hitting B.
