how to catch thrown objects?

OK i got a few questions about catching thrown objects.

1. How do you catch objects on the ground?
2. How do you catch in the air?
3. what objects can or cant be caught?
4. can you catch smash throws?

any help would be great thx

1. Press A when the object is within your catching range.
2. Press Z when the object is within your catching range.
3. I'm pretty sure that anything that can be thrown can be caught, except for crates and barrels.
4. Yes, I believe so.

Yeah, it will.

Some people find it useful to air-dodge, and then grab. It helps time it right, and you can avoid being hit if you miss the catch.
