How should I practice with no Internet?

Hey guys how are you today? I'm asking this question because it pertains to my current circumstances. I want to improve at the game not at a level of being a pro but having the skill to win against friends and maybe even get far In some locals back home. My problem is due to my work keeping me away from having online access, being in other countries for months at a time, and being a newer player. I don't really get the practice with live opponents. I've been practicing on level 9 bots and I'm still learning the basics but it seems like they have a frame 1 punish for anything and everything I do. Are bots a bad way to gauge my progress? Has anyone else experienced something similar? Thanks, have a great day.

What I do is just set bots to low levels and practice things like combos, other stuff like timing and execution can be practiced in training. You use the low level bots because the higher ones read inputs so you cant really get anything from them as no person is going to read your inputs and dodge at the perfect time every time.

Hopefully I can get in 8 hours a day of practice though offline I'm sure I'll learn something as long as I dont make bad habits.

Fighting against Bots and practicing combos on Training Mode and forming strings is a good way to learn

But you will never learn how to handle certain matchups and strategies...

Here is some advice for you..

Shield Beats Attack

Grab beats Shield

Spotdodge,Rolling counters Grab

Attack Beats Grab

Of course competitive smash cant be that simplified but knowing this is very helpful...Maybe not for you but it certainly is for me..

Yeah forming strings is abit tough in training mode when the cpu keeps gravitating away from me.

Corrin is not really a character that you can or should persay string with

Down Tilt to Up Tilt and FAIR or UAIR is the best you could get

ZSS or Marth are characters that need practice for strings
