How often do you get paired with THAT person in 2v2?

If you play FG Team Mode, you know who I'm talking about. That person. The one that only knows how to do one move, and they insist on doing nothing else the entire match. I get paired with that person all the time. Here we go:

- The Flare Blitz Charizard, who will use Flare Blitz even at the edge of the stage, whereupon they will miss the person, attempt to recover, and then fall into the abyss. By far the most common of these offenders.
- The Warlock Punch Ganondorf, who usually only lands about 2-3 of these per game. On occasion, one of these few lands will be a lethal one, but it is never enough to make up for the times he's already died, either from (a) serious punishment or (b) doing Warlock Punch over the edge.
- The Haymaker Mac. So many SD's. SO MANY.
- The Backslash Shulk. He's REALLY feeling it. And, by 'it', I mean the pit.
- The "Lemme Hold this Smash and Hope Someone Walks into It!" Ike. Self-explanatory.
- The "Hey, I'm just going to sit over here by the ledge and charge my s***" Lucario/Mewtwo/Samus/Robin. Because, yeah, sure, I got this, you go do your thing over there, and fire it into some reflectors. It's really helpful.
- The Resting Jigglypuff. Did you know that it's pretty hard to prevent both of our enemies from going over and spanking you every time you miss? Evidently not.
- The Pewpewpewpewpew Fox. Come on! Your laser doesn't even cause them to flinch, and it does minimal damage...

I have a message for all of these: OMFG STAHHHHP. Ain't nobody wanna have you on their team.

Who was I missing? And why do these people do this?? AND WHY ARE THERE SO MANY OF THEM??????

That happened a while back, but he wasn't partnered with me, he got partnered with ny opponent. Some guy entered the room in one match, and literally all he did was roll around and avoid fighting. He let his teammate get 2v1ed for a full minute.

It actually got to the extent that halfway through the match, my teammate and I were so frustrated by the way he was playing that we both decided to ignore the player who was actually trying and went after him. When the match ended, everybody left the room immediately because nobody wanted to be teamed up with him.

TFW you are both of these people...

It's despicable, but I find playing these roles hilarious, especially when my team pulls out a win. I only do it for a round or two though.

Wario bike spam, ryu side b spam. These are winning strategies.

And they are so much fun.

I've been partnered with a resting Jigglypuff. However, unlike what most would expect, my partner actually managed to get off Rest numerous times. The Jigglypuff was arguably more accurate with her Rests than my opponents were with every single one of their moves. The Jigglypuff would land offstage Rests, double Rests, roll read Rests, air dodge bait Rests, aerial Rests, shield stabbing Rests, just Rest over and over. It was truly a site to behold!

Another time, I played as Mr. Game & Watch, and I spent the entire match rolling against the edge of the stage. When my opponents approached me (which they always did), I would shield grab them, throw them offstage, spike them with a down aerial, recover, and side taunt. I would also taunt if they got KO'd by my partner. Hilariously, I actually won a lot of my matches this way, and I have glorious replays saved in my vault as the "For Glory Fun" series, volume #1-6.

By the way, you forgot the Ness who knows nothing but how to aim their PK Thunder into themselves off the stage. :)

This reminds me of a similar thread I created in the Brawl era. Although I hardly ever touch Smash 4 online in comparison due to input lag, I have occasionally seen the same types return from Brawl. Notably, the Kirby and Yoshi players who go up high and only use down+B are still around. Sometimes I think they must be the same people who never learn from grab punishes.

Haha, yeah, fancy that, it is very similar. I guess some things just tend to repeat themselves, huh?

I also had a Mario that kept charging his water pump and shooting it across the stage. He would occasionally do other things, but he spent most of the time charging the water pump. Wasn't totally sure if the person was either a troll or just profoundly dumb. Either way, they were profoundly useless lol.
