How necessary is "b-sticking"?

I've always used the c-stick for smashes and aerials, and i don't feel like changing unless it is completely necessary. How much does it add/take away from your game?

B-Sticking is neat and a good add-on if you can get used to it, but I do fine without it.

I like it. I never used the c-stick in Melee or in Brawl until I learned about this b-sticking stuff so it's not a big deal to me to use it this way.

My only concern is if I get used to wavebouncing this way and if I ever enter tournaments (which I doubt I ever will...), will we be allowed to map the controls how we want? I don't like doing it without the b-stick.

Nvm, it is very necessary, the DAPKWL is a defensive retreating PK fire, while the B-sticked PK fire is for offensive retreating PK fire. Levitas changed my mind.

Actually B sticking is neccesary. Not only does it fire off an attack, its pretty much a secondary wavedash technique.

B-sticking is wonderful. Use it. Forget c-stick smashing, you can always do it just as easily with the stick and A, but B-sticking is so inconvenient without the C-stick that you cant use it.

I'll just do without B-sticking, my aerials feel much better on the C-stick than with analog + A.
