How might a Melee TCG/Tabletop game play out?

So I was having my daily read on MIOM and I took a moment to look at scar's profile picture. I read the details on it (as it is a trading card of himself) and it made me want to have a Melee TGC I could play with my friends who don't want to get into competitive play style of smash, but we LOVE to play table top games together i.e. superfight, munchkin, betrayal ect.



Just looking at the picture I made some guesses on how a TGC like this might work and determined that there would be cards for stages, players, characters possibly and every player card (like scar's) would have the same sort of things on it. There mains, matchup's stages and unique "ability"

I'm not sure what to make of the mind game draw, it could be anything. But give me your opinions on how you think It may work out.

I can see multiple ways of playing this game though, like if you're playing with one other person it could be a crew battle. With three and up it could be a tournament with format's dependent on the amount of players (swiss, DE ect.)

I personally see a crew battle setting with two players where you randomly draw pro players from the deck and order them before the game starts. You would both reveal your first player and character they're using (if they have more then one) then use some sort of system to choose a stage. I haven't quite figured our how you would actually play the set though and how losing stocks, making come backs and the general flow of the game.

Also some attributes like mentality, consistency and such could also make things interesting. Winning sets could boost/lower these too.

Anyway drop any idea's you have, this is pretty open to anything since all it's based off of is Scar's picture.
