How long will I be banned?

So, kind of a long story, but I'll try and make it short. I went on to play For Fun mode, and ended up in a room full of completely passive people. They just taunted till they couldn't and then just hung around doing whatever, dash dancing, crawling, till the timer went, and SDed on Sudden Death. I was into it, so I joined in the fun. This went on for quite a while, actually. But then one left, and another came in. All of us remained completely passive, but the other guy either didn't catch on or didn't care, and was always aggressive. Not that I'm salty over that, this is Smash, they came to fight and nothing else. Well anyway, we only attacked back when attacked our selves, so you can imagine what happened.

I got kicked and banned for targeting one player. I wonder, how long will this ban last? When I tried to go back Online, it didn't say, all it said is partner is not responding.

Anyway, next time, be more sportsman like. If you wanna have fun in Smash without Smashing, make a room with your friends (even if they are newly made); people think that internet is serious business, and usually this kind of thing usually back-fire.

But you know, that's just my opnion man.

Seriously though, when you try to join, it should say how long you're banned.

I recommend doing multiplayer online and just picking lulz teams (double Ganondorf, double Sonic, Mario and Luigi both in Waluigi colors, one of each Fit Trainer, etc) if you want to be silly. Unfortunately, targeting one player still applies, so you can't play the traditional doubles style, but there's still lots of fun to be had being silly. Once, my friend and I even went Fox and Falco at the same time our opponents went Fox and Falco and it sent us to Final Destination. I'm still kicking myself for failing to save that replay.

But as for ban duration, just check every couple of days. I haven't heard anyone mention ban durations before, so I'm also interested to hear.

I checked again in the morning and I could get back on no problem. Guess first time bans at least don't last too long.


Anyway, I learned my lesson, no more having fun in For Fun mode. It's all srs business except with items.
