How long does it take to upload a video on Youtube?

Last night, I waited 4 hours for it to upload, and it didn't, so I went to sleep, hopefull waking up when it would be finished. Instead, I find I've been kicked out of Youtube, my video not posted.

I've tried to upload it 3 times, and twice I changed the name. I've waited 1 hour on each attempt. How long should I wait?

(Sheesh, I thought Youtube was supposed to be easy to use)
