I use brutal since I don't like the phrase, "Get good" due to its slang counterpart. Brutal is also a way to say awesome.

But anyway,. how long did it take you to get brutal with your main? The 10,000 man hours it supposedly takes to master anything?

I guess it was whenever I developed an interest in competitive play. I don't know when that was, exactly, but it wasn't until the tail end of 2014 at most. Whenever I look back at myself when I first got the game, I'm astonished at how far I've come and how much I've discovered about my main.

I don't know. I can't even consider myself a monster as a Mario main. Sure, I've done my fair share of JV3's, I've kicked a lot of arses, but I've also got mine kicked several times, too. This is just a combination of all my hard work, skill and perseverance as a Mario main since I was a child.

Well, it took me years to get a good grasp of Marth, but that is due to the fact that I played pretty casually for years. When I finally sat down to try to get better in Smash, it really paid off. I am a much better player than I was before, but I still got a ways to go. Just keep practicing and studying others. Try to learn something new each day, and perfect it, so that you can build up on the fundamentals.

With :4shulk:( Shulk ), Around Early-Mid November 2015, where I started learning more and more about Smash and being more careful (I'm still trash at the game, but less trash now.)

Well, considering Smash 4 was the first game in the series that I've played... less than a year lol.
I mean, I'd like to think I'm "good" at the game, and my friends do help me in that mindset; they compliment me on my dedication towards Mewtwo despite his rather tough past in the Smash series. Really, I just played the characters I find the most fun, and then when I learned of the competitive scene, I made it my mission to become a known player, whether it be in the city, state, etc. etc.

I love dreaming big I guess. :p

When I got interested in competitive play, took me about 2-3 months of training and fighting everysingle other character multiple times before I really got good with :4robinm: Not saying I'm at his level, but I've also had my fair share of Nairo moments.
Though I still struggle with a few match ups like :4greninja: and :4sheik:

For Kirby, it was a slow process, taking about 6 months for me to threaten all of the characters my friends play. In particular, learning to work with Kirby's small range and light weight were a huge struggle, as I was constantly threatened by heavy hitters like Marth, Bowser, and ZSS.

Hard to say, I guess it took months up until I started going to my local tournaments and getting decent placings. Hard to really gauge your skill until you start testing it against other players. Even so I watch Ito, Leo, Katakiri, Abadango etc. and I see that there's more work that needs to be done. There's so much more I could be doing with Meta Knight that I'm not right now. There's always something new to learn with this character. That's what make him so much fun though.
