How long did it take you to beat metroid prime for gamecube?

This may seem kinda noobish but it has taken me forever to beat the game. I have 10 hours in nit and i still need power bomb, xray visor, plasma ray, and the add ons for the plasma and ice beam, not ray sorry. Any tips for beating the game faster would be nice.
