I believe that the Circle Pad Pro is only a replacement for the normal 3DS circle pad and can only use its inputs. I doubt it will be usable as a C-Stick.What is the likelihood that it will be usable as the C-stick?
Uh, no? It was created to give Dual analog controls to the 3DS for games that needed them.I believe that the Circle Pad Pro is only a replacement for the normal 3DS circle pad and can only use its inputs. I doubt it will be usable as a C-Stick.
Really? I remember that I bought a Circle Pad Pro for Kid Icarus Uprising so I could use the extra circle pad as the shooting reticle. Thing was, The Circle Pad Pro only moved Pit, which the normal circle pad already did.Uh, no? It was created to give Dual analog controls to the 3DS for games that needed them.
That's KIU's problem, not the CCP. Sakurai didn't have the time to spare fully utilizing the CCP since it came out a few months before the game launched.Really? I don't own the game, but I believe you could go to options and here was an option that utilizes the cpp in that manor. Not sure.Really? Truly? I thought the Circle Pad Pro was made compatible with Kid Icarus Uprising but I suppose I was wrong. That's KIU's problem, not the CCP. Sakurai didn't have the time to spare fully utilizing the CCP since it came out a few months before the game launched.
Technically didn't it get a limited release on the web store?Theory: CPP XL is released in the us along its smash bros, ala mh3u with the original cpp.
Already got released on Nintendo's online store.Theory: CPP XL is released in the us along its smash bros, ala mh3u with the original cpp.
The xl hasn't had an American release, you can get Japanese imports.Already got released on Nintendo's online store.
That seems like it would be a bit awkward.Smash 3DS needs to turn the grab button to one of the ABXY buttons and use the L shoulder button as a Smash button, so if you hold down L it would turn your ABXY into a smash stick so you wouldn't need a Circle Pad Pro at all. Please someone recommend that to Nintendo. (You should be able to set "Smash Button" to either L or R)
Sometimes it only seems awkward due to unfamiliarity. When Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D said they'd allow moving while aiming, but then explained the controls, I thought, "That's way too awkward and will never work."That seems like it would be a bit awkward.
But wouldn't one of 2 of your dodge/shield buttons be occupied for this? From what I've seen, one shoulder button is used for shielding and the other for dodging. That means blocking or shielding would have to be assigned to the D-pad, which obviously wouldn't work out too well for most people.Sometimes it only seems awkward due to unfamiliarity. Only took a few matches for me to get it. Now I don't even think about it. It just works.
L is shield, R is "grab". Dodging is done by holding down the shield while pressing left or right. But wouldn't one of 2 of your dodge/shield buttons be occupied for this? My bad I meant shield and grab lol. But yeah, that would be a bit strange to me. That would be like using the Wii Mote and nunchuck over a GameCube controller. I'd much rather go out and buy a cpp to use smash attacks. Opinions are opinions.L is shield, R is "grab". Dodging is done by holding down the shield while pressing left or right.
I also think grab would work fine in place of the X/Y jump button since the ABXY buttons are so close, unlike the Gamecube controller.
