How in the world do I make my own character imports?

I've been getting into modding Brawl the past few days and think I'm ready to do my own character imports, but I've been doing Googling and searching and cannot find even ONE tutorial that remotely mentions how to export character mods back into the game. I've been using 3DS Max and importing crappy little models into different games for the past ~8 years so I'll have no trouble with vertex weights and all that, but I can't find any mention of what specifics it takes to import characters back into the game; what file format does it have to be in? Are there any special requirements of applying textures? Do all the different meshes have to be separate (Mario's cap, overalls, etc, like the polygon objects viewed in BrawlBox) or can they be combined into one mesh? Are they to be separated by material? What's the difference between .PAC and .PCS, and are both necessary? How do I achieve shader effects like reflections, if that's possible? What about specularity? What do I do about the alternate meshes (eg. Mario's angry face, yellow final smash eyes, etc.)? I've been playing with BrawlBox and see I can import .dae and .mdl0 formats. Dae is a very common model format, but are there any specifics with exporting it that I should know about? Is there a way to export directly into mdl0? Are there any hard limits I should know about - amount of polygons, textures, sizes, etc?

I can find literally NO documentation on this at all and I've been searching for the past 3 days. I found tons of character texture tutorials and a Youtube video of how to import Brawl models into 3DS Max, but I can't find anything telling me how to export it back. I've been searching on this forum for the past few hours as well and can't find anything either. Judging by the huge amounts of character imports on the Brawl vault, I can only assume that there must be a tutorial out there somewhere. There's no way so many things could be up for download so quickly from so many people without some sort of guide. If somebody could point me in the right direction, that would be absolutely fabulous. Thank you very much for reading and I appreciate any help I can get!

As a treat, this is what I'm trying to import back into Brawl:

Edit: Nevermind, I managed to answer almost all of my own questions by fiddling around with BrawlBox for half an hour except for the reflections, which I reckon I can figure out how to do by looking at something else that has reflections. Still, I haven't found any documentation on this stuff yet - it should be out there.

That's pretty damn awesome dude. You mind helping me out? Im pretty much a complete noob at modding in general. In the past few days, I learned how to recolor and retexture brawl models and csps, but how do I create my own custom poses for them? How do I vertex edit? How do I import custom models like PM's OoT Link? If you could help in anyway, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance man.
