Hi, i'm trying to understand how does mash work on SSBU, does it's the same as sm4sh ?
In sm4sh i was mashing with my stick only because mashing button + stick would not help mashing faster, does it work the same way on SSBU?
If not do you have an explanation ?

Bit confused by the use of "mashing" but it sounds like you're referring to performing Smash Attacks with either the traditional Button + Stick, or just using the C-Stick and if it's the same in Ultimate.

In which case, yes it's the same. You can use just the C-Stick to perform Smash Attacks in Ultimate just like Smash 4.

I think the question is about mashing to escape a grab, or to make Luigi / doc rise during their down b. The answer is situation dependant still, I think - Luigi has to mash the b button specifically, but to escape a grab you should mash your any/all buttons and rotate your stick to give the most inputs in the shortest time.

As for the best way to do it - I try to avoid using Z, the triggers and the B button because an accidental input of any of those usually results in a punish or a lost stock if I'm off stage.
