Practice. Learn when you're going to have to take the hit. You HAVE to be prepared for the launch. Then, as soon as you're launched, smash to the side. Learn the timing. Get a friend or someone to keep hitting you on demand so you can learn the DI. Then, do it in a regular match. It's not hard to get the hang of, don't worry.
